Four businesses in the Lviv community have received UAH 1.2 million in compensation from the city for implementing energy independence projects. These include the installation of solar power plants, energy storage systems and other equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
According to Lviv City Council, the entrepreneurs themselves have invested more than UAH 3.2 million of their own funds in these solutions. Since the launch of the voucher support programme for energy saving, the city has already allocated UAH 13.5 million for such reimbursements.
This time, financial support was provided to four local business entities that had already implemented their projects and submitted documents for reimbursement. LLC “School of the Free and Concerned” has installed its own solar power plant to ensure an uninterrupted educational process for children.
Two research and production enterprises have also strengthened their energy resilience: RPE “Tekhnovahy” purchased and installed a hybrid inverter with an energy storage system, while RPE “Rezon” installed solar panels. Another recipient of support is sole trader V. V. Oksevyč, who has installed solar panels and a grid-tied inverter to make her business more autonomous.
The total value of the implemented projects exceeded UAH 3.2 million, of which UAH 1.2 million was reimbursed by the city under the voucher support programme for energy saving. The businesses applied back in February and had up to six months to implement their projects, after which the Department of Economic Development of Lviv City Council provided reimbursement on the basis of supporting documents.
Both legal entities and sole traders can apply for a voucher. To take part, applicants must complete an online form and upload the required documents, including a business development project and a commercial offer. The service is free of charge, and the review of documents takes up to 30 calendar days.
The applicant can receive the result of the application review electronically via their personal account, at a CNAP unit or by post.
