A new sewer rising main to Vynnyky is under construction: 74% of works completed

LMKP «Lvivvodokanal» continues construction of a new pressurised sewer rising main to the town of Vynnyky. To date, around 10 km of pipeline with a diameter of 400 mm has been installed, which is 74% of the total planned length.

The company notes that once the project is completed, the wastewater disposal system will operate more stably, the risk of breakdowns will be reduced, and there will also be additional reserve capacity for the further development of the Vynnyky community.

Construction of the rising main began even before the full-scale war, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequently the hostilities, the pace of work slowed. Full-scale resumption of works took place in 2024. The project is being implemented in stages using funds from the company's Investment Programme.

All works are being carried out by LМКП «Lvivvodokanal»'s own sewerage service without involving contractors, which helps to reduce costs. In total, more than UAH 31.8 million has already been allocated for the implementation of the project.

Specialists are currently working on another section, where pipes are being laid and the necessary network components installed. Works are being carried out in a wooded area with the use of specialised machinery.

The overall project provides for the construction of two branches of the pressurised rising main with a total length of 13.6 km. Lvivvodokanal emphasises that completion of the works will strengthen the reliability of the wastewater disposal system and create a reserve of throughput capacity to support the growth of the Vynnyky community.
