The Drohobych community has received a batch of 35 charging stations for medical and educational institutions from the international foundation RePower Ukraine. The equipment is intended to support the operation of these institutions in the event of emergency power cuts during the full-scale war.
Among the beneficiaries are the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise ‘Drohobych City Hospital No. 1’, the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise ‘Stebnyk City Hospital’, as well as several educational institutions in the community. The charging stations will make it possible to provide power for key equipment and ensure the continuity of vital processes during periods of disruption to the electricity supply.
Cooperation with the RePower Ukraine foundation has been coordinated by specialists from the Department of Investment and Economic Development, which is systematically attracting international resources to strengthen the community’s resilience and support healthcare, education and social infrastructure.
The Drohobych City Council has expressed its gratitude to the foundation for its support and trust in the community. The material notes that the mission of RePower Ukraine is to provide urgent energy assistance to Ukrainian communities and to implement long-term solutions for a reliable power supply to critical infrastructure, in particular through the development of decentralised renewable energy systems and energy-efficient technologies.
The Drohobych community plans to continue expanding its international partnerships and attracting funds from foundations and investors for projects that strengthen energy resilience and ensure the stable operation of medical, educational and social institutions both during the war and throughout the post-war recovery period.
