Kozytskyi: Estonia and Latvia will provide military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine: more about this

Today, March 1, the Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi met with the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia and Latvia to Ukraine.

Maksym Kozytskyi thanked the ambassadors for the help of their countries and support for Ukraine in such a difficult time.

“Estonia will send additional military assistance to Ukraine in the form of Javelin anti-tank missiles and anti-aircraft ammunition. Latvia transports more than 30 trucks with ammunition, helmets, dry goods, medical devices and medicines, as well as 500 tons of diesel fuel. In addition, ammunition will be transferred, the country’s defense minister said. This shows extremely strong support and faith in our country. Only by such consolidated actions of all European partners will we be able to strike a stronger blow at the enemy, “said the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Ukraine Kaimo Kuusk stated that Ukraine has been and will be a strategic partner.

“From the beginning, we have supported Ukraine’s aspirations to join the European Union. We see your country as a full member of European society. Yesterday’s signing of the application for Ukraine’s membership in the EU by Volodymyr Zelensky is extremely good news for us, as the accession process began a long time ago, but now is a good time to implement this plan, “said the Estonian Ambassador.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to Ukraine Ilgvars Klava was surprised by the consolidation of Ukrainians at such a difficult time for the country.

“I am amazed at how great the spirit of mutual assistance is among Ukrainians. And the number of people who are now helping the army is just a confirmation of my words. Now the help of foreign friends is extremely important and we are doing everything to make Ukraine survive and become part of one European family of nations. ” – The Ambassador of Latvia assured.

The ambassadors of both countries also asked what more help was needed and assured that they would continue to support Ukraine and its territorial integrity.
