Pension Indexation in Lviv Region: What Changed for Pensioners
As reported today, March 10th, during a briefing at the Lviv Regional State Administration, certain categories of pensioners in the Lviv region have had their pensions indexed, affecting the amount of payments.
According to the Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional Administration, Khrystyna Zamula, in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated February 25, 2025, No. 209, the indexation coefficient is 11.5%. As a result, pensions were recalculated for 623,000 pensioners who belong to certain categories.
“The average pension in Lviv region increased by 471.77 UAH and amounts to 5,779.5 UAH,” Khrystyna Zamula reported.
Who Got Increased Pensions
- 623,000 pensioners under the “Law on Mandatory State Pension Insurance”;
- over 37,000 pensioners discharged from military service;
- 1,400 pensioners under special laws.
Additionally, as noted by the Head of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Lviv Region, Halyna Nedzelska, from April 1, 2025, pensions for working pensioners will be automatically recalculated, along with the indexation of insurance payments for those affected by industrial accidents.
