A free educational and mentoring program for women entrepreneurs and start-ups in the agri-food sector (Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA)) is launched for 6 months (June – November, 2023) with the direct provision of grants of up to 10,000 euros for the development of your own business or start-up.
In addition to receiving grants within the program, participants will work with personal mentors, participate in online/offline trainings and events, develop business skills and establish new contacts. The final business presentation to investors and the jury will take place in November 2023 in Kyiv.

“Today, many women work in the agricultural sector, many of them directly turn to the department for advice on how to start their own business, while having the idea of farming or food processing. That is, if you are a female entrepreneur or the founder of an agro-startup and you are 18 years old, if you have an interesting agri-food business idea or an active business that is less than 2 years old from the moment of official registration and you have not received donor grant assistance for the proposed idea the amount of more than 30,000 euros, you can use the EIT Food program and get additional opportunities for the development of your own business”, – emphasized the director of the department of agro-industrial development of Lviv OVA Tetiana Hetman.
Deadline for the program:
May 25 – the deadline for submitting applications
June 5 – announcement of selection results
June 16 – offline meeting with mentors and experts in Kyiv/Lviv
