In Lviv, a local resident organized illegal exchange office activities without registration. Over the period 2023-2024, he did not declare income amounting to approximately 26 million UAH.
As a result, more than 5 million UAH in personal income tax and military levy did not enter the state budget. The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceeding, registered under part 1 of article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, concluded with full reimbursement of the damages.
The investigation was carried out by detectives from the Territorial Administration of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Lviv region. “According to article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of a crime until proven guilty in a legal manner”, the note specifies.
