Lviv Region to Join the International MICS Survey

The Lviv region will participate in an international survey about the lives of children and families in Ukraine.

After a 12-year hiatus, a large-scale survey is being conducted in Ukraine – the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS). We encourage residents of Lviv region to participate. From September to December 2025, interviewers will visit 24,000 households to learn about how Ukrainian families live and what their needs are.

The results of the MICS survey will help make future decisions: where to build schools, how to improve healthcare, and who needs assistance. \”We will have detailed information on how the war has affected children’s health, education, living conditions, and safety,\” the organizers note. This will allow the government and international partners to make evidence-based decisions and support those who need it most.

Your responses will remain anonymous but will help improve policies, programs, and assistance. MICS is implemented by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine in cooperation with UNICEF Ukraine, the Demographic Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and the NGO ‘Ukrainian Center for Social Reforms’.
