Lviv Region will receive substantial state funding for the protection of energy facilities and the development of distributed generation. This initiative aims to prepare critical infrastructure for the upcoming winter.
As emphasised by the head of Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi, the funding will involve additional power sources for heating and water supply facilities and decentralising heat provision.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko stated that in the second tranche, the Government allocated 9.2 billion UAH towards implementing Resilience Plans in non-frontline regions. Such measures intend to protect 245 critical infrastructure facilities.
The development of Resilience Plans was a joint effort by the Government, RSA, and communities, aiming to ensure uninterrupted heating, water supply, and sewage systems in the next heating season.
