Lviv Region Supports Business for Veteran Employment

A program to support business for the employment of veterans is starting in the Lviv region.

The new initiative aims to create inclusive workplaces for veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, including those with disabilities. The program is being implemented within the framework of the project ‘Social Cohesion and Reintegration of Veterans in Ukraine’, which is carried out by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in partnership with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine with funding from the European Union.

**The program** aims to strengthen the economic opportunities of veterans and develop socially responsible entrepreneurship in Ukraine. It is being implemented in the Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, including the regional centers.

‘Who can participate?’ – micro, small, and medium enterprises that have officially employed veterans or intend to do so by 2025. They must be registered in one of the mentioned regions and belong to citizens of Ukraine, as well as operate for at least one year at the date of application submission.

**A grant** of up to 2,000 euros is provided for setting up an accessible workspace, purchasing equipment for creating an inclusive workplace, consulting support for adapting the work environment to the needs of people with disabilities, and promoting the integration of veterans into the team. Registration lasts from June 1, 2025, to July 20, 2025.
