Lviv Region Expands Cooperation with China in Various Spheres

Opportunities to expand cooperation with the People’s Republic of China were discussed in the Lviv region.

Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, met with the Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine, Ma Shengkun. The meeting focused on potential areas of cooperation in the humanitarian and economic domains. The Chinese side was invited to participate in a pilot project for the development of a university hospital based at the Danylo Halytsky Lviv National University. The development of this medical institution is one of the region’s priorities.

They also discussed the prospects of cooperation in the fields of energy, agriculture, logistics, construction, extraction industry, and IT. Particular attention was paid to the topic of energy decentralization and China’s practical experience in this regard. “I also proposed to expand interaction in the fields of energy, agriculture, logistics, construction, extraction industry, and IT. Special attention was given to the issue of energy decentralization, where China’s practical experience is extremely valuable to us,” – emphasized Maksym Kozytskyi.

The Chinese Ambassador expressed readiness to restore partnerships between Ukrainian and Chinese cities and regions that existed before the full-scale war, as well as to develop new formats of cooperation.
