The Lviv Regional Youth Center will finance the implementation of seven projects thanks to British support

Almost 36 thousand hryvnias will be allocated for the implementation of the initiatives.

The Lviv Regional Youth Center has determined the winners of the “Bench of Ideas” competition. 7 youth teams will receive co-financing for the implementation of their initiatives. The implementation of this project became possible thanks to the fact that in March the Lviv Regional Youth Center won a grant from the British Council in Ukraine at the Embassy of the United Kingdom. The center received funding for the development of youth initiatives in the region in the amount of 400,000 hryvnias.

“Thanks to the partnership with the Embassy of the United Kingdom, we were able to attract additional resources to the youth sector of the region. These are funds that will be invested in youth development, and in the near future young people in seven communities will feel their influence. These funds will be directed to the implementation of youth initiatives that will solve the specific problems that young people are currently facing,” said the Acting Director. director of the regional youth center Ivan Sapsa.

Therefore, already at the beginning of April, the youth center became a partner of the British Council in Ukraine and started the implementation of the Lava Ideas project. 11 teams of young people, who were trained by experts of the youth center, applied to participate in the project. The training took place in an online format during the week. During this time, the participants went through the topics of project management, team building and learned to present their projects. Eight teams developed projects that were presented to the competition committee last week.

The competition commission chose 7 youth initiative groups that were able to receive almost 36 thousand hryvnias for the implementation of their projects.

In particular, thanks to the support of the project, the youth council of the Rava-Ruska community will be able to create a board games club for young people aged 14-25. The initiative is planned to be implemented already in May.

The “Teploserdni” volunteer initiative from the Drohobytsk community plans to raise the awareness of the youth of the community about cultural volunteering during the war and to implement at least two volunteer events together with the participants.

The youth space “Forward and Up” of the Dobrosynsk-Mageriv community will create a club of creative youth “ART-LIFE” to activate creative and talented rural youth aged 14-35 with creative, artistic ideas and the development of art directions.

The public organization “SUVIATO” will receive funding to attract and stimulate veterans to social adaptation by creating various activities for physical and emotional recovery.

StudUryad LNU implements a project to develop leadership qualities of schoolchildren from all corners of the Lviv region. The main task of the project will be to create opportunities for young people to show and develop themselves as young leaders, to gain new knowledge and experience, which will help them realize themselves in one or another field of activity in the future.

Public organization “Prosvita” from the Buska community plans to implement a complex project aimed at solving three problems: lack of sexual education, level of environmental awareness and lack of sites for erudition training. The team members believe that lectures, practical skills in planting plants, systematic meetings of the reading club will solve these problems.

The youth space “Garmyder” from the Horodoch community implements a project to develop opportunities for self-realization and socialization of the youth of Horodoch region, reducing the level of stress and anxiety associated with the psychological impact of the war and the end of the school year. They plan to involve internally displaced youth in social activity.
