Maksym Kozytskyi met with the Vice-Marshal of one of the Polish voivodeships

Today, January 16, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytsky met with the Vice Marshal of the Lublin Voivodeship of the Republic of Poland Zbigniew Wojciechowski.

During the meeting, they discussed topical issues of cross-border cooperation, as well as the implementation of promising projects for both countries in the areas of migration and ecology.

“We managed to finish the first stage of works on the Rava-Ruska – Khrebenne crossing. This year, we plan to start laying the track from Rava-Ruska to the railway station in Bryukhovychy. In the future, this route should connect Lviv and Warsaw by rail for passenger transportation between both countries. If the track Hrebenne – Rava-Ruska is restored, it can become the fastest railway connection from Lviv Oblast to Warsaw,” said Maksym Kozytskyi.

Zbigniew Wojciechowski agreed that the development project of the Rava-Ruska – Hrebenne checkpoint is extremely important and promising for both countries.

“Its implementation will make it possible to improve the economic cooperation between our countries, as well as to develop the existing logistics connections. It is also important to create a ByPass crossing to speed up the movement of goods and cargo between Poland and Ukraine. We are doing everything possible for uninterrupted traffic between both countries, so that the economy of Ukraine works despite the blockade of maritime infrastructure and ports. I wish you a speedy victory and the much-desired peace that the entire Polish fraternal people desire,” Vice-Marshalok emphasized.

Also, during the meeting, potential cooperation within the framework of the European grouping of territorial cooperation “Nadbuzzhya” was discussed. The main purpose of which is to create an organizational and financial platform for the coordination of cross-border cooperation in the regional management system, establishing and supporting cooperation in certain areas of regional development between its members within the territories of the Western Bug River basin, as well as in relation to the territories that will be affected by further cooperation, in order to promote accelerated development and strengthening of economic, ecological and social unity in the cross-border space. In particular, they discussed joint priority projects within the cross-border cooperation program “Poland-Ukraine 2021-2027” in two directions: ecology and health care. Maksym Kozytskyi emphasized that the Ukrainian side is ready for active cooperation.
