The ibis hotel network has become one of the largest payers of tourist tax in the Lviv City Territorial Community for the period from 1 January to 1 August 2026. This concerns two ibis hotels in Lviv, which operate as part of the international Accor group.
It is noted that the tourist tax is an important component of the city budget. Revenue from this payment is directed towards developing the tourism sector, improving infrastructure for the city’s guests and enhancing service quality.
Rostyslav Danylenko, Head of Sales and Marketing for the Accor network and the two Lviv ibis hotels, explained in a video commentary the company’s approach to paying the tourist tax, as well as why it is important for businesses to fulfil their tax obligations in the tourism sector responsibly.
The video material published by the organisers focuses on the role of responsible business in developing tourism in the Lviv region and on how systematic payment of the tourist tax helps to increase the region’s attractiveness for travellers.
