On November 23, customs officers discovered undeclared goods worth over a million hryvnias.
A Volkswagen vehicle driven by a 31-year-old resident of Ternopil region arrived at the Rava-Ruska – Hrebenne checkpoint. The driver was heading towards ‘entry to Ukraine’ along the simplified customs control lane ‘green corridor’. However, during the customs inspection conducted by customs officers and border guards, 27 Thinkcar and Launch car scanners with a total value of 560 thousand hryvnias were discovered.
Additionally, at the Krakivets – Korczowa checkpoint, during the customs inspection of a VOLVO bus on the Aachen-Kyiv route, driven by a 45-year-old resident of Bukovina, 653 units of Kodak film valued at 512 thousand hryvnias were found. Administrative protocols were drawn up for these incidents in accordance with part 2 of article 471 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
