A number of technical measures were carried out in individual regional budget institutions during 2015-2021 within the framework of energy saving programs
In particular, walls, attics, basements and facades were insulated, old wooden windows and doors were replaced with new ones with energy-saving double-glazed windows, thermostats were installed, heating systems were reconstructed, and individual heating points were installed.
“During the mentioned period, regional institutions used 125 million hryvnias from the regional budget to finance energy-saving measures. Work was carried out in ten health care institutions, three social protection institutions, and one educational and cultural institution each.
As a result of the measures taken, it was possible to save a significant amount of funds from the regional budget”, – said Andriy Godyk, the first deputy head of Lviv OVA.
He also added that in 2022, repair and restoration work will continue at the Lviv Regional Clinical Hospital “OKHMATDYT”, work has begun at the ENT Center “Children’s House No. 1 for children with damage to the central nervous system and mental disorders” and the ENT Center “Children’s House No. 2 for children with damage to the central nervous system and mental disorders” for a total of 24 million hryvnias.
“Today it is extremely important to use budget funds effectively, and energy saving and energy efficiency measures allow to reduce energy consumption by institutions of the budgetary sphere, thus saving expenses on paying for energy carriers,” said Oleg Demkiv, director of the finance department of the Lviv OVA.
