In Lviv Region, over 2 billion UAH invested in regional transformation

A meeting of the Steering Committee regarding the implementation of the Fair Transition Plan for the coal micro-region by 2030 took place in Lviv Region. This is part of a comprehensive development plan which involves significant investments – over 2 billion UAH. A large portion of this includes international technical assistance and private investments.

The First Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Andriy Hodyk, emphasised that 24 out of 47 planned projects have already been implemented. The main areas of funding include renewable energy and modernisation of heat supply.

Among the projects discussed was the ROOTS programme, which provides 3-5 million UAH per project with an implementation period of up to one year. Of the 23 applications to the programme, 12 were submitted from the Lviv Region.

The meeting also considered proposals from various communities and educational institutions regarding the update of the Plan. The conclusive results for the years 2024–2025 were acknowledged, with agreement on changes to the Plan.
