
In the Lviv region, workers of the food industry were honored on the occasion of their professional holiday.
Today, October 16, industry representatives were greeted by the Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Yuriy Buchko and the Head of the Agrarian Complex Commission Yuriy Radelytskyi. “On behalf of the Lviv Regional Council, I thank you for your daily work. Behind each of you are large teams that ensure the food security of our state. You feed the civilian population and the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, create jobs, build value, and strengthen the region’s economy. The food industry is experiencing challenging times, but thanks to our joint efforts, we are overcoming the challenges of war. I wish your enterprises further development, stability, and prosperity,” said Yuriy Radelytskyi.
Yuriy Buchko emphasized that in 2024, the industry enterprises provided one-third of the region’s total industrial output. “Despite difficult times, our producers do not stop, they implement new technologies, expand production. Thanks to state support, particularly through the ‘e-Work’ project, 42 enterprises in the Lviv region received over 200 million UAH in grant funds for equipment modernization and production development. I thank each of you for your work, resilience, and dedication to your field,” said Yuriy Buchko.
Yuriy Radelytskyi presented Thanks from the Lviv Regional Council to the team of LLC ‘Valetudo’ and Deputy Director of LLC ‘Sambir Elevator’ Mykhailo Pakosh for many years of diligent work and high achievements in production activities.
According to the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional State Administration, the region has over 400 food industry enterprises, employing more than 20,000 people. Last year, the industry sold products worth 97.2 billion UAH, which is 8% of the national total. Most enterprises operate in the production of meat, bread, oil, and the processing of fruits and vegetables.
