Lviv region is a reliable rear and will continue to be one for all people who come here from other regions. New places for migrants are being deployed in the region and everyone who needs it will be accepted. For this purpose, evacuation trains run not only to Lviv, but also to the former district centers. This was emphasized during a briefing by the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi.
“Of course, there are no such comfortable places as hotels, sanatoriums or boarding houses. But new places for migrants are unfolding. This is done in schools, on industrial sites, in kindergartens, libraries, theaters – we just arrange temporary places to stay. And for our part, we will provide basic necessities and products. Lviv region continues to be a humanitarian hub and a reliable way to get everything you need to the front, “said Maxim Kozytsky.
Answering journalists’ questions about the situation with places in Lviv, the head of the Lviv OVA confirmed that there is a problem with mobile places, but trains are already running, which can be used to get to other major cities in Lviv region.
“There are still about 18-20 thousand vacancies in the region, where we can offer people to spend hard days. But we are trying to increase the number of seats. Ukrzaliznytsia sends people not only to Lviv region, but really a lot of people want to come to us. However, sometimes it is much more comfortable to live somewhere in the area and it really is. For our part, together with Ukrzaliznytsia, we organized trains not only to the city of Lviv, but also to district centers. Such trains are already taken by Sambir, Drohobych, will be taken by Krasne and Stryi – so that people can disperse in the region, “said Maxim Kozytsky.
He also added that according to EU statistics, more than 1.5 million Ukrainians left their homes and went abroad. According to him, 800,000 people have already crossed the border with Poland, compared to 60,000 yesterday.
