On the night from Thursday to Friday, 30–31 July, works to replace a tram turnout will be carried out on Lem Square in Lviv. As reported by the Transport Department of the Lviv City Council, the main works will be performed at night so as not to interrupt public transport services, in particular tram routes No. 3, No. 4 and No. 9.
After dismantling and installing the new turnout, the repair site will be temporarily paved with setts to ensure daytime access for all types of transport. Subsequently, on the following nights up to 3 August, the paving of the carriageway on Lem Square is planned to be completed.
The city’s Transport Department notes that during the turnout replacement and improvement works, the traffic patterns for trams and other transport will remain unchanged.
Drivers of private cars are advised to take into account possible roadworks on Lem Square in the morning and evening hours between 30 July and 3 August and, if necessary, to plan their route with these works in mind.
