The Stryi district continues to implement the Resilience Plans of territorial communities, focused on strengthening energy self-sufficiency. The main goal of these measures is to ensure uninterrupted water and heat supply, as well as the operation of schools, hospitals and other critical facilities in the event of prolonged power cuts.
As of mid-September, communities in the district had purchased 36 generators and put into operation 5 solar power plants with a capacity of 204 kW. Thanks to this, alternative power has already been provided to 176 general secondary education institutions and 6 hospitals in the Stryi area.
Solar power plants have been installed, in particular, at water utility facilities in Stryi, Skole and Zhuravne. In the Stryi, Skole, Zhydachiv and Morshyn communities, schools have additionally been equipped with generators and inverters, which makes it possible to sustain the educational process even in the absence of the main power supply.
To support the population in potential emergency situations, 56 Points of Invincibility have also been deployed in the Stryi district, where residents can keep warm, charge their devices and access basic services.
There are plans to implement larger-scale infrastructure projects. For the Striyvodokanal municipal utility, documentation has already been prepared for the construction of a solar power plant with an energy storage system with a capacity of 500 kW. A 160 kW generator is to be purchased for the Striyteploenergo company, and in the Slavske, Rozvadiv and Novyi Rozdil communities, further development of alternative generation is envisaged.
