Full traffic to be restored on Lychakivska Street in Lviv near the new retaining wall

At the entrance to Lviv from the Vynnyky side on Lychakivska Street, full traffic is planned to be restored this evening near the newly built gabion retaining wall. Landscaping works are currently being completed here, after which the section where contraflow traffic has been in place will operate as normal.

According to LCE “Lvivavtodor”, contractors are carrying out backfilling of soil behind the retaining wall using specialised machinery.

“We are completing the landscaping works. In particular, we are carrying out backfilling of soil behind the retaining wall with the involvement of specialised machinery. And this evening we will already be able to open traffic on this section,” said the director of LCE “Lvivavtodor” Mykola Vlasiuk.

The slope reinforcement with a retaining wall is being carried out as part of additional works within the capital repair of Lychakivska Street on the section from Bukova Street to the city boundary.

At the same time, in the direction of exiting Lviv towards Vynnyky, repair works to reinforce the slope are ongoing. On this part of the road, contraflow traffic with traffic light control will remain in place.

As a reminder, works to reinforce the retaining walls and slopes on both sides of Lychakivska Street on the section from Bukova Street to the city boundary began on 19 March. They are being carried out by the contracting company LLC “Avtomagistral-Pivden”.
