In the village of Volya-Homulecka, work has begun on laying the second layer of asphalt-concrete surfacing on part of Ozernaya Street. Due to the repair works, the section of road from the boundary with the settlement of Bryukhovychi to the local church will be closed to traffic from 18 to 20 September inclusive. This was reported by the Shevchenkivskyi District Administration.
For the duration of the closure, according to the Lviv City Council’s Transport Department, city bus route No. 63 (Pid Dubom Street — Volya-Homulecka village) will run only as far as the church in Volya-Homulecka.
Capital repairs of Ozernaya Street, which is 2.3 km long, are being carried out using the innovative German NovoCrete technology to strengthen the road base. The total project cost is UAH 53.3 million, of which EUR 200,000 has been provided by international partners — the company IBS GmbH and the organisation GIZ.
At the site, the culvert pipes have already been replaced, a reinforced roadbed has been constructed and the lower layer of asphalt has been laid. Next, pavements and two public transport stops are to be built, safety barriers and road signs installed, and road markings applied. All work is scheduled to be completed next year.
