Our priorities for the near future are additional air defense systems, missiles, training and aircraft, long-range weapons – address of the President of Ukraine

The head of state talked about the results of the meeting of the military cabinet, the meeting in the office of the Crimean platform, thanked the soldiers who defend Ukraine.

I wish you health, dear Ukrainians!

Just held a meeting of the military cabinet. This is our special format of working in a narrow circle with those who are responsible for the defense of the state.

There were commanders of key areas of the front. Also the Central Committee, the General Staff, intelligence, security. Very meaningful work.

First: the defense brigades – well done, the main strategic tasks have been completed, now is not the time to report the details.

The second: offensive brigades – well done, getting ready, no details.

Three: Regarding protecting civilians – Air Force – well done, here with the details. Our priorities for this week, next week and for the near term in general are additional air defense systems, additional missiles, training and aircraft, long-range weapons. And it will be.

Today, I also held a thorough meeting with our internationals – the Office team. There is a task – to maintain the dynamics of international support and communication for the sake of Ukraine, which was achieved in the first half of May, as well as these weeks. I am sure: we will complete this task.

I had the honor of visiting the office of the Crimean Platform and meeting with the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, Mustafa Dzhemilev, representatives of the Mejlis and the Crimean Tatar community.

Today and every year on this day, May 18, we honor the memory of all the victims of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people. It was one of the heaviest crimes of the 20th century – the entire people were forcibly taken from their native land and forced to live in a foreign land for decades. And when the people returned home, Russia once again brought its evil to their home, to our Ukraine – the evil of aggression, repression, humiliation.

To restore justice for all our people, to guarantee freedom for our entire state without any exceptions – this is our historical task. The task of all those who defend the state, all those who chose Ukraine, and therefore, will win.

I am glad to see that the Crimean platform created by us effectively directs the joint power of our entire state and the Crimean Tatar people. I am glad to know that our joint work with the Mejlis is bringing Ukraine the desired result.

By the way, we are preparing some very important joint steps for the near future. We are bringing the issue of Crimea, Crimean prisoners and all our people in Crimea to a new international level.

And one more.

Today, many Ukrainian men and women were wearing embroidered shirts. It is important to remember what wealth unites us all. Ukraine is diverse, and that is our strength, it was visible during the day in various embroidered ornaments.

But now I ask you all to remember those Ukrainian men and women who are literally our strength with you, our protection with you. Many of our people were not in embroidered shirts, because they were in military uniform. I ask you now to remember all those who are fighting for Ukraine. All those who are on combat missions and at combat posts for the sake of Ukraine. All those who train our fighters for the sake of Ukraine. The ones you know personally, the ones you’ve heard about, and thousands and thousands of others who all equally protect the lives of Ukraine. Remember them now, please, and thank them.

Also, we do not forget for a moment about those of our people who are held captive by the occupier. About captured Ukrainians, about those repressed in the occupied territories. About those who are in occupied cities and communities and are waiting for the return of our flag, our state. We must free all our people and all our land from Russian slavery.

We act together, in unity, taking care of each other and the state, and we do not stop until victory.

Thanks to everyone who helps!

Glory to all who fight for Ukraine!

Eternal memory to all victims of Russian tyranny!

Eternal memory to all victims of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people!

Glory to Ukraine!
