The second day is the Dream Business Forum on May 13, designed to discuss the topics of restoration of the Ukrainian economy, business, new perspectives and collaborations during the war.
The program of the event includes several panel discussions. The main topic of today’s discussion is “Volunteering – Business – State: the future of the main national collaboration 2022”. Maksym Kozytskyi, head of Lviv OVA, became its participant.
“You don’t have to wait for victory to start building our state of the future right then. We should do it now, when we, the government, business, volunteers and community residents, are as united as possible. Officials should realize that their positions are primarily a duty, a mission, and to some extent even volunteering. Because people believed them. Business must be honest before the state and people in conducting its activities. Volunteers and the public – to become initiators of change. We all have one goal – victory. Thanks to trust in each other, transparency, effective work and leadership, we will win it and build the state of the future,” the head of the region noted.
Other participants in the panel discussion also spoke about the most critical moments at the beginning of the full-scale war and help from the authorities. It is about the organization of meals for IDPs in the Lviv region, projects for the rehabilitation of victims and the sphere of culture.
The organization World Central Kitchen (WCK) started working in Ukraine in February. During more than a year of the Great War, cooks prepared and volunteers distributed more than 400 million portions of hot food.
“We were able to feed millions of Ukrainians. At peak times, up to 100,000 portions were prepared per day here in Lviv, because there were many IDPs. However, we work close to the front line. And this is the work of a large number of people and our sponsors who trusted us. World Central Kitchen is now a brand. Lviv OVA was extremely open to help. Together we were looking for people to help with products and logistics. In other words, the government’s contribution was very important,” said Yuliya Stefanyuk, representative of The Ukrainian Foundation and head of the WCK program in Ukraine.
Superhumans Center CEO Olha Rudneva spoke about the project of rehabilitation of our military and assistance to all those affected by Russian aggression.
“We understand that now people with disabilities, with their own physical and psychological injuries, are returning to us from the front. Unfortunately, we have to get used to it. However, the goal of our team is to do everything to build a new society. Elementary, we have to teach ourselves and our children not to perceive a person with a prosthesis or in a wheelchair as different. It is worth understanding that this person has a history and we need to be able to communicate correctly. We often say that the Superhumans Center is not a hospital where patients are treated. We simply give people back lost opportunities. And when a person begins to walk on prostheses, a light appears in his eyes – he was taken care of, thought of, now he can do anything! With this idea, we continue to work and thank all the branches of government that took our side and helped in everything, especially the regional administration, because our center found its home in the Lviv region, and later we will build 5 more new institutions,” she emphasized.
Cooperation and philanthropy is another important aspect of the Dream Business Forum, which is why the organizers of the event defined its main goal as fundraising for the Superhumans Center. Read more about the clinic at https://loda.gov.ua/news/62351
“We live among people who made a colossal contribution to the stability of our state and, unfortunately, paid for it with their health. Thanks to the ultra-modern clinic of prosthetics, rehabilitation, reconstructive surgery and psychological assistance – Superhumans Center, we are already building a culture of superhumans in the Lviv Region who will undergo free high-quality rehabilitation from the best specialists, will have access to everything they need, will be able to do what they love and most importantly – not will see sideways glances in their direction, but only sincere admiration. We must unite at all levels so that this trend becomes the general philosophy of our entire state,” added Maksym Kozytskyi.
