MBO “Ecology-Pravo-Lyudyna” organizes an online training “Strengthening the role of territorial communities in the procedure of assessing the impact on the environment in the post-war period” and invites representatives of territorial communities, local self-government bodies from all regions of Ukraine to participate. The event will take place on June 8.
During the training, they will discuss:
the essence of the environmental impact assessment procedure and the place of territorial communities in its implementation;
duties of local self-government bodies in the field of informing the public about the planned activity and its opportunities to participate in the procedure and other duties according to the law;
methods of increasing the effectiveness of the participation of territorial communities in decision-making that can significantly affect the environment;
ways of strengthening the effectiveness of the participation of territorial communities in the decision-making process, which can have a significant impact on the environment;
analysis of current environmental impact assessment reports and conclusions.
We remind you that the purpose of the training is to increase the awareness and awareness of representatives of territorial communities about the ATS procedure, so that in the future they have the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively participate in the process of approving various types of activities that can significantly affect the environment after the war.
