At the Shehyni checkpoint, border guards from the Carpathian unit, along with operatives, discovered an attempt to illegally import a batch of smartphones. During the inspection of a Mercedes vehicle traveling from Sweden to Rivne, 18 iPhones of various models, including 15 units of iPhone 17, were found among the driver’s personal belongings. The **36-year-old driver** explained that he was carrying “gifts for a large family,” however, none of the gadgets were declared. The violation has been documented, and all circumstances of the case are being established. The preliminary value of the discovered phones may reach 1.5 million UAH.
