Applications can also be submitted by business representatives who are in the process of relocation.
As reported in the department of agro-industrial development of the Lviv Regional Government, the program was created to support small and medium-sized businesses, in particular agribusiness, which suffered due to the war.
The international humanitarian organization Mercy Corps noted that the goal of the program is to adapt to changing business conditions and create or preserve jobs for the population affected by hostilities and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Lviv, as well as Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil regions.
“The average amount of financial assistance is USD 20,000 in hryvnia equivalent at the current rate of the NBU, which is provided for the purchase of fixed assets. Priority is given to those enterprises that are in the process of relocation or have already moved to the specified areas and need funds to restore or expand their activities in a new location,” the organization said.
Terms of participation in the program:
– official registration and absence of legal and legal obstacles for entrepreneurial activity in accordance with the requirements of Ukrainian legislation;
– creation or preservation of at least three jobs for IDPs or the affected population;
– investment of one’s own funds in the restoration or expansion of business activities in the amount of up to 50% of the amount of financial assistance.
“Russia’s full-scale war against our country hurt the national economy, particularly the agricultural sector. Lviv Oblast, as a safer region, became a new home for many agricultural enterprises that relocated from the occupied territories and the front-line zone. It is these enterprises that need to be helped financially in the first place in order to restore and establish their business “from scratch”. Thanks to a grant from Mercy Corps, such enterprises can receive 20,000 dollars for the purchase of fixed assets, and on the other hand, it will stimulate such farms to employ internally displaced persons”, – emphasized the director of the department of agro-industrial development of Lviv OVA Tetyana Getman.
