The Sheptytska community has secured grant funding under the programme “Regional Opportunities for Just Transition and Sustainable Development (ROOTS)”, implemented by the East Europe Foundation. The funds will be directed towards projects aimed at strengthening the community’s energy resilience.
The winning project in the competition was submitted by the capital construction and investment department of the city council: “Reconstruction of premises for the installation of a fuel pellet production line in Sheptytske”. The programme allocates 5 000 000 грн for this work.
The production line for processing energy wood had previously been transferred to the community by the company GIZ. Thanks to the grant funding, the plan is to prepare the building and install this equipment.
In July, the capital construction department announced a tender for the reconstruction of the premises on Promyslova Street, but the bidding did not take place due to a lack of participants. On 12 August a new procurement procedure was announced, and potential contractors are invited to take part, familiarise themselves with the conditions and submit their proposals via the Prozorro system.
