Sheptytska City Council signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Verbkivska Rural Territorial Community.
On August 18, Mayor Andriy Zalivskyi and Secretary of the Verbkivska Village Council Yevdokiya Shakhova signed a memorandum of partnership. This agreement is part of the national project \”Plich-o-Plich\” and provides for cooperation in the sphere of humanitarian and social support, organization of cultural, educational, and sports events, experience exchange, as well as involvement in international projects.
\”Since our community also belongs to a coal region, we strive to adopt cooperation with international partners. In addition, it is extremely valuable for us to familiarize ourselves with your developments in implementing educational reform, as our community is only at the beginning of this path\”, noted the manager of affairs of the Verbkivska City Council Olesya Nechayeva.
\”We have established friendly partner relations with the cities of Rubizhne in Luhansk and Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. At the start of the full-scale invasion, our city accepted over 10,000 displaced persons, and just from Pokrovsk alone, about a thousand people arrived in one day. Unfortunately, it was the full-scale war that showed us how important and necessary real, rather than formal, cooperation between twin cities is. I am convinced that our partnership with the Verbkivska community will grow into a strong friendship and the joint implementation of interesting educational, cultural, and projects\”, emphasized Mayor Andriy Zalivskyi.
For reference. \”Plich-o-Plich\” is a national project for uniting partner communities to support and restore forepost communities.
