The Lviv region presented an updated ranking of communities as of August 1.
The head of the region, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported that the top ten leaders remain virtually unchanged: Pidberiztsi, Lviv, Zymnovodiv, Sokilnyky, Dobrotvir, Boryslav, Pustomyty, Stryi, Sheptytsia, Solonka.
Kozytskyi explained that these communities consistently fill their budgets through modern tax discipline tools, create new jobs, and the average salary here is growing faster than in most other communities in the region. The communities invest in their residents: on average 2,400 UAH per resident, which is one and a half times higher than the average, actively attracting state programs and international aid.
From now on, you can view the results both in general and in your category: large communities (35,000+ population), medium (15–35,000), small (up to 15,000). “That means each community can see itself among ‘equals in size.’ This makes the ranking fairer and more useful for development planning,” said Kozytskyi.

“We in the Lviv Regional State Administration resumed this ranking because it shows the real quality of life in the communities. For leaders, it is an honest reflection of their work. For residents, it’s a mirror showing what has already been changed and what still needs attention,” emphasized Andrii Hodyk, head of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
