Ukraine has launched an updated state grant programme “Own Business 2.0”, which combines support for starting and developing a business in a single service. Entrepreneurs and those who are only planning to start their own business can receive funding to implement their business projects.
The programme provides for two main areas of support:
- starting your own business — grants from UAH 100,000 to UAH 500,000;
- scaling up an existing business — grants from UAH 500,000 to UAH 2.5 million.
The updated terms provide that support for veterans and their family members is now consolidated into a single programme. Enhanced opportunities have also been introduced for projects in priority sectors of the economy, and the list of areas to which grant funds may be allocated has been expanded.
The entrepreneur independently chooses the timeframe for implementing the business plan — 2, 3 or 5 years. An application to participate in the programme can be submitted online via the Diia portal, attaching a business plan and selecting the relevant area — starting or scaling up a business.
Applications are currently being accepted through Sense Bank. In the coming days, documents can also be submitted via Oschadbank, and later via PrivatBank.
The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Economy and Environment together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the State Employment Service and partner banks.
