Lviv Region Sets New Tourist Records

September has become one of the most active months of the tourist year in the Lviv region.

According to Roman Khimiak, Director of the Department of Sports, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration, the tourist tax for the month exceeded 2 million hryvnias, and since the beginning of the year has reached 42.5 million UAH – 10 million more than last year.

The largest revenues were provided by the Lviv, Skhidnytsia, Truskavets, Zymnovodivska, and Sokilnytsia communities. Among the most visited locations are Skole Beskids National Park, Tustan’ Reserve, Drohobych Saltworks, Domazhyr Bear Sanctuary, Nahuievychi, and Yavoriv National Park.

Additionally, in September, within the framework of the social project ‘Therapy with Travel,’ six trips were organized for defenders, defenders, and their family members. The first GorganyCAMP – a two-day hike along the picturesque ridges of the Carpathians also took place.

At the same time, the tourist season in the Lviv region continues. On October 25, residents of the region are invited to a charity climb to Mount Pikuy – the highest peak of the Lviv region. The event aims not only for sports but also for charity purposes – raising funds to support the warriors of the 80th Air Assault Brigade of Galicia.
