Every Sunday in Lviv, a veterans’ business market is held on Rynok Square. From 10:00 to 18:00, veterans and their family members showcase and sell their own products right in the historic city centre.
The market hosts up to 20 stalls, and the list of participants is constantly changing. Visitors are offered artisanal cheeses, sausages, bread, sweets, microgreens, as well as tea, coffee and other treats. Separate stands feature art ceramics, candles, jewellery, icons, toys, accessories, decorative items, clothing and books.
The aim of the market is to support veterans’ entrepreneurship, helping producers find new customers and develop their own businesses. For Lviv residents and tourists, it is an opportunity to buy high-quality local products while at the same time supporting veterans and the families of defenders.
Participation for veterans and their families is free of charge. The event is organised by the Department of Economic Development of the Lviv City Council together with the City Promotion Office. Those wishing to join the trading are invited to register online and choose convenient dates to take part. Last year, around 80 participants registered for the Veterans’ Market, taking turns to trade.
