In July, Drohobych community allocated UAH 289,000 to support vulnerable residents

In July, 175 residents of the Drohobych City Territorial Community received one-off cash assistance totalling UAH 298,000. The payments were made under the municipal programme for social support of vulnerable population groups, approved by Decision No. 3687 of the session of the Drohobych City Council of 11 December 2025.

The aim of this programme is to strengthen the social protection of people who find themselves in difficult life circumstances and to improve their material situation. Since the beginning of the year, a total of UAH 1,188,000 has already been paid out under this programme.

The right to receive assistance is granted to citizens who are registered and permanently reside within the Drohobych City Territorial Community, provided they meet the following criteria:

  • the person is not working and has reached pensionable age in accordance with Article 26 of the Law of Ukraine “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance”, with an insurance record of at least 25 years;
  • their income is equal to the minimum pension established by law on the date of application;
  • they do not receive any state social benefits or supplements, including payments under local targeted social programmes.

In 2026, the amount of one-off cash assistance is UAH 2,000 per person.

To arrange the payment, the following documents must be submitted to the Department of Social Protection of the Population:

  • a copy of the passport;
  • a copy of the taxpayer identification card number;
  • a copy of the employment record book;
  • a certificate stating the amount of pension for the previous six months;
  • a certificate of insurance record;
  • bank card account details for the transfer of funds.

Copies of documents must be submitted together with the originals for verification.

Opening hours of the Department of Social Protection of the Population:

  • Monday–Thursday: from 8:00 to 17:00;
  • Friday: from 8:00 to 15:45.

Appointments are conducted without a lunch break.
