In the Drohobych community, the period 2021–2025 has seen a steady increase in entrepreneurial activity: significantly more new businesses are being created than are ceasing operations. This is evidenced by data from the analytical platform VKURSI, compiled on the basis of information from state registers.
Over five years, 3,748 sole proprietors have been registered in the community, while 2,325 sole traders have ceased operating. The positive net increase amounts to 1,423 entrepreneurs.
A similar trend is observed among legal entities. In 2021–2025, 345 new companies were registered in Drohobych, while 179 legal entities ceased operations. Thus, the increase stands at 166 legal entities.
In total, over the past five years the number of newly established business entities in the community has exceeded the number of those closed by 1,589 entities.
The most active year for registering new sole proprietors was 2023, when 899 businesses were opened. High figures have continued: in 2024, 720 sole traders were registered, and in 2025 – 757.
According to the VKURSI analytical system, this positive balance between registrations and closures indicates that economic activity in the Drohobych community is being maintained and that local businesses are ready to adapt to contemporary challenges.
