In Lviv, over the 15 months since the introduction of the season ticket system, public transport passengers have purchased 100,000 LeoKart season tickets for travel. These are long-term tickets with an unlimited number of journeys within 30 days, valid on all city buses, trams and trolleybuses.
According to LKP «Lvivavtodor», October was the month with the highest demand for such passes. During this period, passengers purchased more than 10,000 season tickets and made around 770,000 validations.
General season tickets are available both to holders of LeoKart transport cards and via the LeoCard mobile app, where the ticket is displayed on the smartphone screen. Student season tickets can only be issued on students’ personal transport cards.
The season ticket system in Lviv was launched on 1 July last year. The passes allow an unlimited number of journeys, but only the cardholder may use them. LeoKart transport card season tickets can be purchased at the Tourist Information Centre on pl. Dvirtseva, via EasyPay services (mobile app, website and terminals), as well as on the E‑shop website. At present, only the general season ticket is available in the LeoCard app.
