A delegation of experts from Global South countries visited Lviv.
The visit was part of the preparations for the international conference “Crimea Global. Understanding Ukraine through the South” in Kyiv. Delegation representatives discussed with Mayor Andriy Sadovyi the city’s development during wartime, the impact of Russian aggression on Ukraine, and cooperation opportunities. The meeting also touched upon Lviv’s experience in working with conflict victims.
Among the delegation members were experts and human rights advocates from various countries specializing in conflict and democracy issues. They learned about the UNBROKEN/НЕЗЛАМНІ human ecosystem that provides a full range of medical services. They discussed new projects, such as the Unbroken University for training specialized professionals.
“Lviv is actively developing the UNBROKEN human ecosystem”, noted Andriy Sadovyi.
The visitors also paid tribute to fallen Ukrainian defenders at the Lychakiv cemetery and examined homes damaged by Russian attacks. Anny Modi, a specialist from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, emphasized: “I am impressed by the dedication of those who fight”. The delegation expressed support for Lviv’s efforts in developing social services.
