In Lviv, a further 14 internally displaced persons who previously lived in temporarily occupied territories will receive state housing assistance in the form of housing vouchers. The relevant decision was approved by the executive committee of Lviv City Council, which endorsed the conclusions of the specialised commission.
The city’s Social Protection Department reported that the commission had recently considered 26 new applications from IDPs. Following its review, 14 applicants were approved for housing vouchers, while 12 people were refused due to the submission of inaccurate data.
Since the start of the programme, the commission has already processed 1,172 applications from internally displaced persons. Housing assistance has been granted to 884 applicants, while 288 applications were rejected due to inaccurate information submitted. In total, since 1 December, 1,226 applications to take part in this programme have been submitted via the “Diia” portal.
This concerns a state support programme for internally displaced persons, under which assistance is provided for the purchase of housing in the form of a housing voucher. The maximum amount of such support is up to UAH 2 million.
The housing voucher can be used to purchase completed property, to invest in or finance the construction of housing, to purchase a plot of land for development, as well as to pay the initial deposit or repay a mortgage loan.
