In Lviv, a further 31 internally displaced persons will receive housing vouchers

In Lviv, a further 31 internally displaced persons will receive housing support in the form of housing vouchers. The relevant decision was adopted by the executive committee of the Lviv City Council, which approved the proposals of the commission that considers applications from IDPs who lived in temporarily occupied territories.

The city’s Social Protection Department reported that this time the commission processed 38 applications. Following the review, 31 applicants were approved for assistance to resolve their housing needs, while 7 people were refused due to the submission of inaccurate data.

Since the start of the programme, the commission has already considered 1210 applications from internally displaced persons. Of these, 915 people received a positive decision on the provision of assistance, and 295 applications were rejected, also due to the inaccuracy of the information submitted. In total, since 1 December, 1270 applications to participate in this programme have been submitted via the “Diia” portal, and a further 60 applications are currently being processed by the Social Protection Department.

This concerns a state programme to support internally displaced persons, under which assistance is provided for the purchase of housing in the form of a housing voucher. The maximum amount of such support is up to UAH 2 million.

The housing voucher can be used to purchase residential property, invest in or finance housing construction, purchase a plot of land for construction, as well as to pay the initial deposit or repay a mortgage loan.
