Fourth wave of “Poruch” grants for veteran projects launched in Lviv

In Lviv, applications have opened for the fourth wave of the “Poruch” grant programme, which is aimed at supporting projects for the veteran community. Competition participants can receive up to 100 thousand hryvnias to implement their initiatives.

The programme is implemented by the Lviv Youth Fund with the support of socially responsible businesses. Its purpose is to help male and female veterans adapt to civilian life, find new opportunities for professional development and take a more active part in community life.

Within the fourth wave, projects will be funded in four areas:

  • psychological support;
  • career development;
  • social integration;
  • veteran initiatives.

These may include educational programmes, trainings, retraining courses, creative workshops, cultural or sports events, as well as other initiatives that contribute to the development of veteran communities.

“We want to strengthen initiatives that create an environment of respect, equality and inclusion, where people with military service experience can put their own ideas into practice, develop projects and, together with the community, drive change,” the Lviv Youth Fund notes.

Veteran and civic organisations working with veterans and their families, initiative groups, as well as male and female veterans who are registered as private entrepreneurs (FOP) are invited to take part in the competition. A mandatory requirement is that projects must be aimed at young people aged 18 to 35 and implemented within the territory of the Lviv City Territorial Community.

In addition to financial support, winners will receive mentoring from the Lviv Youth Fund team. Specialists will assist with organisational matters, preparing documentation, liaising with contractors and preparing reports. Teams that have not previously taken part in grant competitions are also eligible to apply.

Applications are accepted from 2 to 15 November 2026 inclusive. After registration closes, the selection committee will choose the projects that will receive funding. Detailed terms of participation and the application form are available on the Lviv Youth Fund website.

Lviv also has a municipal programme called “Courage for Business”, under which veterans, female veterans and members of their families can receive up to 300 thousand hryvnias to start or develop their own business. It provides financial support, training and mentoring to foster veteran entrepreneurship.
