In Lviv, traffic will be restricted for several days on part of Tomashivska Street. Due to the replacement of an emergency section of the water main, from Monday, 28 September, the stretch from building No. 9 to Shevchenka Street will be closed to traffic. This was reported by the Shevchenkivskyi District Administration.
Traffic between Shevchenka Street and Tomashivska Street will be impossible approximately until 3 October. For the duration of the works, barriers and warning road signs will be installed on site. Public transport does not run along this street, so the changes apply only to private vehicles.
A diversion around the closed section will be organised via neighbouring streets. Drivers are advised in particular to use Prokopovycha Street, which makes it possible to bypass the closure and exit onto Shevchenka Street.
As noted by the district administration, the water main replacement works will be carried out at the investor’s expense. Residents and drivers are urged to plan their journeys in advance, taking into account the temporary street closure.
