Updated section of Stryiska Street in Lviv due to open on Saturday

In Lviv, continuous asphalting is being completed on Stryiska Street along the section from the city boundary to Vernadskyi Street in the direction of entering the city. According to the Sykhiv District Administration, subject to favourable weather conditions, traffic on the upgraded section is expected to open as early as Saturday.

While the new asphalt surface is being laid, this part of the road is completely closed to traffic. Two-way movement of private and public transport has been organised on the opposite side of Stryiska Street.

The repair of Stryiska Street on the section from Naukova Street / St John Paul II Avenue to the Lviv boundary is being carried out in stages. First, the even-numbered side in the direction of leaving the city (Frankivskyi district) was upgraded, and from 10 June work began on the opposite side, which belongs to the Sykhiv district and leads into Lviv.

As part of the project, dedicated lanes for public transport are being arranged on the main road. Once the works are completed, there will be three lanes for general traffic and a dedicated lane for buses and trolleybuses in each direction. On the sections where the repair has already been completed, the new traffic management scheme is in operation.

The contractor for the works is Onur, which is carrying out the repair with deferred payment.
