On 28 July, a business session will be held in Lviv entitled “Intellectual property as a tool for business development: brand protection, positioning, commercialisation and entering EU and US markets”. The event aims to show entrepreneurs how to use intellectual property to develop their company, strengthen competitiveness and enter international markets. The event was announced by Lviv City Council.
The training course is intended for entrepreneurs, representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, the IT sector, creative industries, manufacturers, designers, artists, start-ups and everyone planning to develop their own business. Participants will receive practical advice on protecting brands, copyright and digital products, and learn about tools for commercialising intellectual property and using it to scale up a business.
A separate block will focus on entering the markets of the European Union and the United States, as well as financial instruments to support business, including voucher schemes. There will also be discussion of the risks of using artificial intelligence in business processes.
The programme includes contributions from representatives of Lviv City Council, the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation (UKRNOIVI), as well as lawyers, solicitors and sector experts. Participants will be able to examine real case studies, put questions to the speakers and talk to specialists in an informal setting.
The business session will take place at the Lviv Open-Air Museum (Shevchenkivskyi Hai) at 1 Chernecha Hora Street. The meeting will run from 10:00 to 16:00, with participant registration starting at 09:30. Participation in the event is free of charge, but prior registration is required.
The event is organised by the Business Support Centre and the Department of Economic Development of Lviv City Council in cooperation with the Arts Export Cluster and representatives of the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation.
