There are now 179 businesses on Lviv’s veteran business map

In Lviv, work continues on developing the veteran business map, which enables residents and visitors to quickly find businesses founded by veterans and their family members. When the service was launched in June 2024, there were only 19 businesses on the map; now there are already 179, 52 of which joined in 2026.

The online map features businesses from a range of sectors: food outlets, shops, manufacturing companies and service providers. Among the new participants are, in particular, Honor Production, which operates in video production, the cleaning company “Defender of Cleanliness” and the beauty studio of Oksana Kozyna.

The initiative is designed to make veteran-owned businesses more recognisable and to make it easier for Lviv residents to find the goods and services they need. The city’s Department of Economic Development stresses that supporting veteran entrepreneurship is one of the city’s priorities and an important component of the local economy.

“The veteran business map helps make businesses run by veterans and their family members more visible to potential clients. We want Lviv residents to know about these businesses, use their services and support their growth. After all, supporting veteran entrepreneurship is one of the city’s priorities and an important component in developing the local economy,” says Inna Svystun, Director of the Department of Economic Development of Lviv City Council.

The map provides information on each business’s field of activity, its location, contact details, as well as links to official websites or social media pages.

Veterans and their family members who run their own businesses can join the project by filling in an online form. Once an application has been submitted, the information about the business is checked for compliance with the established participation criteria, and only then does it appear on the map.

The Department of Economic Development of Lviv City Council reports that work is under way to improve the service: plans include better navigation, more up-to-date information and a more user-friendly search for businesses.

The veteran business map in Lviv was created by staff of the City Council’s Department of Economic Development to support and promote businesses founded by veterans and their families. Since its launch, the number of participants has increased more than ninefold.
