Expenditures on energy and utilities increased by 40% in local budgets of Lviv region
A significant part, about 8%, in the total expenditures from local budgets, is occupied by expenditures for energy and utilities by budgetary institutions. In 2022, local budgets will provide UAH 2.5 billion for this purpose, or 40% more than last year’s actual expenditures (UAH 1.5 billion).
This was reported in the Department of Finance of Lviv OVA.
In total, since the beginning of the year, budget institutions have paid for consumed energy and utilities in the amount of UAH 925 million (38% of annual allocations), which corresponds to the dynamics of payments for this period in previous years.
According to recent data, in January-April a significant part of expenditures on energy and utilities to their total volume averages 40-45%. However, in 6 territorial communities this amount of expenditures exceeds this figure. In particular, in Rudkivska, Zhydachivska and Chervonohradska TG the level of cash expenditures in January-April 2022 is 46%, Morshynska TG – 48%, Pidkaminska TG – 61%, Sambir TG – 58%. Such data may indicate the lack of appropriations for their payment by the end of the year or other factors.
“Given the military realities of today and rising energy prices in the world, in order to economically use energy, we analyze their consumption on a monthly basis, and if necessary make changes to local budgets to ensure full energy bills this year,” said the department. .
