In the settlement of Shklo, the reconstruction of sewage pumping station KNS-3, which serves more than 600 customers, has been completed. Since 1 July, the upgraded facility has been operating as normal and pumping domestic wastewater to the treatment facilities of Novoyavorivskvodokanal.
As part of the project, the station building was completely refurbished and modern automated equipment was installed. Thanks to this, the wastewater disposal system for residents is operating reliably, and the risk of untreated effluent entering the Shklo River has been eliminated.
According to Novoyavorivsk City Council, the implementation of the project has significantly improved the environmental situation in the settlement and surrounding area, and the centralised wastewater disposal service is now provided without interruption and to an appropriate standard.
The total cost of the reconstruction exceeded 6 million hryvnias. All the works were financed from the budget of Novoyavorivsk City Council with the support of the structures of the Lviv Regional State Administration, in particular the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources.
