
In January 2026, industries in the Lviv region showed a significant increase in the payment of personal income tax (PIT).
Manufacturing and trade in the region paid 407 and 395 million UAH to the budget, respectively, accounting for one third of all tax revenues in Lviv region. The total regional PIT receipts to the consolidated budget amounted to 2.4 billion UAH. This was reported by the director of the finance department of the regional state administration, Oleg Demkiv.
All sectors in Lviv region provided a positive tax payment dynamic compared to January 2025. The largest increase, at 68%, was achieved by the mining industry payers. Over a 40-percent increase in paid volumes was observed in the activities of hotels, catering, agriculture, and forestry.
Considering that the fiscal year has only just started, conclusions are premature, but further trends are expected.
