The winners of the entrepreneurial support programme “Own Business” have been announced in Slavske. Following the results of the competitive selection, six projects submitted via the Slavske settlement council and GORO Mountain Resort will receive funding.
The winners selected through the Slavske settlement council and GORO Mountain Resort include:
- Lyudmyla Yaromii – the “Spadok” project, a bread restaurant in Slavske;
- Iryna Popovych and Yuliia Kovalska – blacksmithing workshops in Slavske;
- Mariia Tkachyk – the Heroes of Makivka museum in Tukhlya;
- Olha Hrytsiv – creation of an ethnographic museum in Volosianka;
- Ivan Mychko – an Active Tourism Centre in Slavske;
- Mariia Telechkun – the ethnocultural space “Boiko House at Symeon’s”, “Yakiv’s Art Studio” and “Zakharii’s Mini-farm” in Volosianka.
Separate financial support from GORO Mountain Resort for the implementation of his project will be provided to Roman Furiv, who plans to create in Volosianka an ethno-space and studio-café “Tea with Honey”.
Acting head Oleh Danyliak thanked all participants in the programme and stressed that taking part in the competition is already an important step towards developing one’s own business.
“I am proud of every participant and I believe that these projects have a great future ahead of them. I want to emphasise that the very fact of taking part in this programme and being ready to present your idea is an important step. Each of you is already a winner, because you have believed in your own business and dared to bring your idea to life,” said Oleh Danyliak.
The author of the “Spadok” project, Lyudmyla Yaromii, underlined that grant support is not only financial assistance for participants, but also recognition of the importance of their initiatives for the development of their native region, Ukrainian traditions and Boiko culture.
The organisers of the programme note that such projects help preserve cultural heritage, develop tourism and create new opportunities for local residents.
