Ukrainian Veterans Fund to reimburse up to 20,000 hryvnias for developing veteran-owned businesses

The Ukrainian Veterans Fund of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine provides reimbursement of up to 20,000 hryvnias for items and goods purchased that are necessary for running a veteran-owned business.

War veterans are eligible for reimbursement if they are registered in accordance with the procedure established by law as sole traders (individual entrepreneurs) or carry out independent professional activity within the meaning of the Tax Code of Ukraine and have the status of a veteran entrepreneurship entity.

The application for reimbursement must be accompanied by a set of documents, in particular:

  • a document proving the applicant’s identity (a copy of the passport with all pages, or a copy of the ID card and the extract on registered place of residence, or a copy of the residence permit in Ukraine);
  • a document confirming acquisition of the status of a sole trader (individual entrepreneur) (a copy of the extract from the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organisations of Ukraine (EDRPOU) or another information resource containing up-to-date data on the sole trader) or a certificate in the form 34-OPP for persons engaged in independent professional activity;
  • a document confirming the status of war veteran (a certificate of a combatant or a person with disability as a result of war);
  • an extract from the Unified State Register of War Veterans confirming that the applicant has the status of a veteran entrepreneurship entity and issued no more than 7 calendar days before submitting the application to the Fund;
  • documents confirming payment for and receipt of goods and items related to entrepreneurial or independent professional activity (account statements, receipts, delivery notes, etc.).

The submitted financial documents must confirm that the expenses were incurred by the applicant personally, allow the purchased goods to be identified and confirm the fact of their receipt.

Reimbursement is not provided for planned purchases or repayment of loan obligations. The programme does not provide for repeated reimbursement of expenses to the same person.
